Social Dancing Exhibition
Please
come to Bracken's Monday and Thursday night classes in
Chula Vista to practice. At the Fair, this will be a true exhibition of social dancing - everyone get out there, dance what you know, and strut your stuff!!! Choose which dances you want to do (you do not have to do all of them) and make sure you know the dances for the performance.

Directions: Take I-5 to the Via de la Valle exit. Proceed west on Via de la Valle, staying in the right hand lane (yes, the right hand lane).
Continue west on Via de la Valle (across Jimmy Durante Boulevard) until you see the Solana Gate entrance on your left (it is the first left hand turn past Jimmy Durante Boulevard).
Place your Green Lot parking pass visibly in your windshield and proceed through the Solana Gate, parking in the Green Lot.
Proceed to the Special Events/West Gate. Check in at the Performers Check-In Tent.

San Diego County Fair Performance Policies - Attire and image of all performers, as well as content of performance, must be suitable for family viewing. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times. - Intoxication, use or
possession of any controlled substance, or impolite, discourteous or obscene speech or conduct toward, or in hearing range of the public of Fair staff shall be sufficient grounds for termination of your performance at the sole discretion of Fair management. - In an attempt to produce a quality, attractive, family-oriented experience for our patrons and to determine future eligibility to perform, all performances are evaluated during the course of the Fair based on the following: (1) Accuracy of check-in, (2) Organization of the group, (3) Attitude and professionalism of personnel, (4) Adherence to performance rules and regulations, (5) Adherence to scheduled time, (6) Audience response, and (7) Overall performance. It is the performance group's director's responsibility to inform all performers of the impact these evaluations have on future participation at the Fairgrounds. - Prohibited items/activities: pornographic or drug-related items, products made from any endangered animal, stickers, laser pointers, flyers distributed outside your performance time and stage, stun guns, switchblades, brass knuckles, high-powered water guns, rubber band toys/guns, fireworks, pyrotechnics equipment, weapons of any kind (including martial arts weapons), skateboards and in-line/roller-skates, smoking in any building at any time or within 15 feet of any building entrance, and throwing of items from the stage into the audience.
San Diego County Fair Admission/Credential Policies - The purpose of these credentials is to admit performers who will be appearing on stage, staff and directors. These credentials may not be passed on to neighbors and friends. - These credentials can only be used at the Special Events Gate, which is accessed through the Solana Gate entrance. If performers choose to enter at another gate they will be charged the normal admission charge. - Anyone who is not a performer or chaperone must purchase a ticket at a ticket booth. Ticket booths are located just outside the Special Events trailer, near the Gate for admission. - Once a group's performance has been underway for 35% of the time, no further confirmation cardholders from that group will be admitted through the Special Events Gate. - Selling, duplicating, or re-issuing admission or parking credentials is expressly prohibited. - Performers must obtain a hand stamp at a gate when exiting in order to re-enter the Fair on the same day. It is solely the performer's responsibility to obtain the hand stamp.
San Diego County Fair Parking Policies - Parking is at a premium on the grounds during the Fair. - Green Lot Parking Passes are for use in the Green Lot only. The Green Lot is the only complimentary performer's parking lot on the Fairgrounds. - Carpooling is strongly recommended to ensure parking availability to all. - The San Diego County Fair (22nd
D.A.A.) is not responsible for fire, theft, damage to, or loss of vehicles, or articles left therein, on the premises. Persons parking in non-designated areas do so at their own risk, and are subject to towing and storage fees. - If the Green Lot is full, free parking is available at Showpark Equestrian Center located approximately one mile east of I-5 off Via de la Valle. A free shuttle will bring you directly to the Fairgrounds.
San Diego County Fair Check-In Procedures - Check in at the Performers Check-In Tent at the Special Events/West Gate. - Make sure that you READ AND SIGN your confirmation card BEFORE arriving at the Fair. - The clerks will validate your name against those submitted by your group's director, take your confirmation card, and let you into the Fair.
San Diego County Fair Stage Procedures - At the stage area, check in with your director. - Do not head backstage until it is your group's allotted time. - All backstage areas are co-ed. - Please keep the backstage areas clean. |
