Bracken & Dancing Bracken Ellis Potter is a Southern California line dance instructor and choreographer with over 25 years of dance experience. She started with tap, jazz, and ballet through the City of Chula Vista Parks and Recreation, Dance World (Virginia), and In Motion Dance Studio (Bonita, California). Bracken began line dancing during college in 1995 and started teaching line dancing in 2001. A native Californian, she currently teaches 3 weekly classes in San Diego and hosts occasional half-day workshops/socials with various traveling instructors. She has also presented two weekend events in San Diego as the director of Move-In-Line, and she is head of the Move-In-Line Dance Team which performs annually at the San Diego County Fair and does various other dance exhibitions, demonstrating the breadth of what line dancing encompasses today. Bracken loves choreographing dances, and is probably best known for her first waltz "Under Your Spell." Bracken teaches at several national line dance events each year and enjoys the camaraderie and family feeling that is present among all the dancers and instructors. She is supported in all her dance endeavors by her parents, Linda & Bob Ellis, and her husband, JP Potter. |
